The Family Behind the Store
Lewis Jewelers was originally purchased by Mark Lewis in 1984 from Tom Lynch who was operating the store under the name "Lynch Jewelers". The name change came shortly after Mark took ownership, but Mr. Lynch stayed on board as an advisor and watchmaker. You can still catch Lynch on Saturdays from 10:30 until 2:00 taking care of watch repair. (Of course we are always happy to take in your repairs durring our normal business hours through the week.)
More than 20 years later, Mark Lewis and wife Rebekah George-Lewis still own and operate Lewis Jewelers. The store currently resides at 9459 East Washington Street, Indianapolis in Washington Village Shops, near Toys R Us. Mark and Rebekah are both graduates of Warren Central High School and The Gemological Institute of America. They have two daughters, Whittley and Molly, and are continually involved in the eastside Indianapolis community.
